Here are some of the most common Electrolux dryer issues and signs that it’s time for a maintenance check:

Long drying times: If it’s taking much longer than usual for your clothes to dry, it could be a sign that your dryer vent is clogged, the lint filter is full, or there’s a problem with the heating element.

Excessive heat: Your dryer should get warm, but if it’s feeling excessively hot to the touch, it could be a sign of a clogged vent or a malfunctioning heating element. This can be a fire hazard, so it’s important to address it immediately.

Burning smell: If you notice a burning smell coming from your dryer, stop using it immediately and unplug it. This could be a sign of a burning belt, faulty wiring, or a buildup of lint in the dryer vent.

Unusual noises: If your dryer is making loud noises that it didn’t make before, it could be a sign of a worn-out belt, damaged rollers, or a loose drum bearing.

Clothes are wrinkled: If your clothes are coming out of the dryer more wrinkled than usual, it could be a sign that your dryer isn’t tumbling properly. This could be due to a clogged vent, a faulty belt, or a problem with the drum rollers.

Electrolux dryer parts we replace most often:

Is your Electrolux dryer not tumbling, heating properly, or making strange noises? Don’t panic!  Many common Electrolux dryer parts are relatively easy to replace, saving you the cost of a whole new appliance. Here’s a comprehensive guide to the most frequently replaced Electrolux dryer parts, along with signs that they might need attention:

    • Rollers
    • Thermostats
    • Motors
    • Belts
    • Idler pulleys
    • Timers
    • Heating elements
    • Temperature switches
    • Switches
    • Thermal fuses

    Heating element:

Symptoms: Clothes take longer to dry, dryer shuts off prematurely, lack of heat.

Function: The heating element is responsible for generating the heat needed to dry your clothes. Over time, it can wear out or become damaged due to lint buildup or electrical problems.

    Dryer belt:

Symptoms: Squeaking or grinding noises, clothes take longer to dry, drum spins slowly or not at all.

Function: The dryer belt connects the motor to the drum, rotating it to flip your clothes. A worn belt can cause these symptoms and should be replaced for optimal drying.

    Drum rollers and seals:

Symptoms: Grinding noises, excessive shaking during drying cycle, worn spots on drum.

Function: Drum rollers and seals support the drum as it rotates and prevent air leakage. Worn rollers can cause noise and vibration, while damaged seals can affect drying performance.

    Thermal fuse:

Symptoms: Dryer shuts off unexpectedly, lack of heat.

Function: The thermal cut-out is a safety device that cuts off power to the dryer if it overheats. A blown thermal fuse usually indicates another underlying problem that needs to be addressed before replacing the fuse itself.

    Moisture sensor:

Symptoms: Clothes come out damp even after a full cycle, dryer runs too long.

Function: The moisture sensor reads the moisture levels in the dryer and signals when the clothes are dry. A faulty sensor can cause clothes to be over- or under-dried.

    Dryer Switches:

Symptoms: If a switch doesn’t seem to register your selections, it might be stuck or faulty. The dryer might not start, shut off prematurely or exhibit other unusual behaviors.

Function: These switches work together to ensure the proper functioning of the Electrolux dryer while providing convenience and safety features for the user. If any of these switches malfunction, it’s essential to troubleshoot and repair or replace them to maintain the dryer’s performance and safety.

    Dryer motor

Symptoms: Is your Electrolux dryer not spinning, making strange noises or smelling burnt? If so, the culprit might be a faulty Electrolux dryer motor. A burning odor emanating from the dryer could signify an overheating motor.

Function: This essential component is responsible for rotating the drum, ensuring efficient drying of your laundry.

My repair experience was wonderful! I had two gentlemen come to my home. They let me know when they would come, then when they were on their way they gave me an ETA, communicative, they listened attentively, explained the problem with the dishwasher carefully, and were very sweet with my pets and child. They also got the part in that I needed for the dishwasher quickly. Highly recommend!

Absolutely a great company. Scheduling was quick, diagnostics was done efficiently, and I was given expert advice regarding expectations in repair and aftercare.

    Rachel Tocker

Great experience. Repair man was highly communicative from the start. He was punctual, polite, and thorough in his work. I’d researched / troubleshooted the apparent problem with our washer before turning to professional help, and I was very satisfied to see that he checked all the possible causes of our washer’s problem, instead of simply stopping at the first obvious thing. He executed the solution quickly (replaced some parts), and we’ve had no problem so far since! And he even tested the washer after repairing it! He was also conscientious about our space, and the safety of both me and my puppy when he had to leave for a minute to grab the parts (took time to put away all his tools/ secure things). Would definitely recommend this company. This is a small company done RIGHT.
